Galaxiaway is a platform dedicated to promoting inclusivity and accessibility by offering sign language education to individuals with hearing impairments. We are seeking an expert Sign Language Instructor to help hearing-impaired individuals improve their communication skills and break down barriers through sign language. Our mission is to foster stronger connections within society by empowering hearing-impaired individuals to communicate more effectively.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sign Language Education, Linguistics, Educational Sciences, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in Turkish Sign Language (TİD).
- At least 3-5 years of professional experience teaching sign language.
- Knowledge of specialized teaching techniques and pedagogical approaches tailored to the needs of hearing-impaired individuals.
- Ability to create educational materials for different age groups and abilities in sign language education.
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and patience in educational settings.
- Experience using digital educational tools for sign language instruction (preferably experience teaching via online platforms).
- Ability to effectively translate between Turkish and sign language.
Technical Qualifications:
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in teaching Turkish Sign Language (TİD).
- Ability to design and adapt educational programs to meet diverse learning needs.
- Experience using digital education platforms.
- Up-to-date knowledge of modern sign language teaching techniques and pedagogical approaches.
Health Requirements:
- Ability to manage the mental and physical demands of the teaching process.
- Compliance with legal health and safety standards required by the profession.
Language Requirements:
- Advanced proficiency in Turkish Sign Language (TİD).
- Proficiency in written and spoken Turkish.
- Additional language skills are a plus.
Recruitment Process:
Our recruitment process is fair, fast, and transparent. Candidates will undergo a three-stage process to assess their professional qualifications and compatibility with our team:
- Preliminary Interview: A meeting to discuss your experience, career goals, and motivation to join Galaxiaway.
- Technical Evaluation: You will be given a case study related to sign language instruction, where your teaching skills will be assessed.
- Final Interview with Senior Management: A meeting with senior leadership to assess your fit with our company culture and strategic goals.
Successful candidates will receive a formal offer at the conclusion of the process.
